We are pleased to announce that the 2009 Northern Finance Association Meetings will be held in central Canada’s picturesque wine region in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, a short drive from Niagara Falls. Niagara-on-the-Lake was recently designated as a National Historic Site. A short walk from the conference hotel is Fort George, a British fort which played a key role in the struggle for the Niagara Frontier during the War of 1812.

Andrew Lo is the Harris & Harris Group Professor at the MIT Sloan School of
Management. He is a co-author of The
Econometrics of Financial Markets and A Non-Random Walk Down Wall Street. He is currently an Associate Editor of the Annals of
Economics and Finance, Financial Analysts Journal, the Journal of Portfolio Management, the Journal of Computational Finance, and the Review of Economics and Statistics.

Wayne Ferson is a Professor and Endowed Chair, at the Marshall School of
Business, University of Southern California and Research Associate, National
Bureau of Economic Research. He is the former editor of Journal of Empirical
Finance and Review of Financial Studies. He is currently an Associate Editor of numerous journals including Journal of Empirical Finance, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis
, Journal of Financial Research , and Review of
Financial Studies.
